prob. James B. Pierce, c.1900
This is part of an 8x10 photo containing members of at least two families. From the inclusion of women, this photo is thought to date from 1900. As the second youngest in the photo, this image is probably that of the second youngest male in the two families, James B. Pierce.

prob. James B. Pierce c.1910
This is a cabinet photo bearing the mark of a Louisville, KY photographer. James appears in Elizabethton, Hardin Co., KY in the 1910 and 1920 censes, and the Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY census in 1930. He is the only son of Jacob Ayhart known to have lived near Louisville. The full lips under that moustache and ear profile match well to the photo above. He sold real estate.

090 prob. Hattie C. (Donakey) Pierce, c.1910.
As the only other photograph in the collection besides that of James B,. Pierce above bearing a Louisville photographer, this is probably his wife. In 1930, she taught at the "University School", according to the census.

066 "Getting in touch with their hillbilly roots"? c.1915
This is a small, novelty photo perhaps taken at a fair. It is difficult to
say, because the photo is so small, but the man appears to be James B. Pierce.
Some of the women resemble the girls in the George Washington Pierce family
